Abstract

Transformasi digital telah mengubah pendekatan pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris dalam pendidikan vokasi pariwisata, tidak hanya untuk meningkatkan kompetensi komunikasi mahasiswa tetapi juga untuk memperkuat pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap prinsip-prinsip pariwisata berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi bentuk transformasi digital dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris, menganalisis pengaruhnya terhadap kemampuan komunikasi mahasiswa, serta mengkaji kontribusinya terhadap pemahaman pariwisata berkelanjutan. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan mixed methods dengan desain sequential explanatory. Responden terdiri atas 25 instruktur Bahasa Inggris dan 135 mahasiswa pariwisata di Bali. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner, observasi, wawancara mendalam, serta pre-test dan post-test, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan analisis kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa transformasi digital diwujudkan melalui penggunaan Learning Management System (LMS), platform konferensi video, media kolaboratif digital, dan multimedia interaktif berbasis simulasi. Pemanfaatan Google Classroom, Padlet, Quizizz, Zoom, dan video simulasi terbukti meningkatkan motivasi, partisipasi, dan kemampuan komunikasi mahasiswa. Nilai rata-rata meningkat dari 62,3 pada pre-test menjadi 82,6 pada post-test. Selain itu, pembelajaran berbasis digital juga meningkatkan pemahaman mahasiswa mengenai green tourism, pelestarian budaya lokal, dan community-based tourism. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa transformasi digital efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris sekaligus mendukung pengembangan kompetensi pariwisata berkelanjutan.
