Korelasi Self-Esteem, Satisfaction With Life, dan Coach-Athlete Relationship pada Cabang Olahraga Bolavoli
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan korelasi antara self-esteem, satisfaction with life, dan coach-athlete relationship pada klub bola voli di Majalengka. Studi cross-sectional ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi perilaku self-esteem, satisfaction with life, dan coach-athlete pada klub bola voli tersebut dengan melihat beberapa variabel lainnya. Partisipan penelitian ini ialah atlet bola voli yang berada di Majalengka yang berjumlah 38 partisipan, terdiri dari laki-laki 27 partisipan dan perempuan yang terdiri 11 partisipan. Alasan pemilihan atlet di Majalengka tadi dikarenakan Bola Voli di Majalengka memiliki prestasi yang cukup baik. Dari 38 partisipan akan dikelompokan berdasarkan jenis kelamin dan usia. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuesioner Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES), Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS), dan Coach-Athlete Relationship Questionnaire (CART-Q). Kuesioner ini terdiri dari 26 item atau pertanyaan. 10 item berisi pertanyaan (RSES), 5 item berisi pertanyaan (SWLS). Dan 11 item berisi pertanyaan dari (CART-Q). Berdasarkan hasil terdapat korelasi positif antara self-esteem, satisfaction with life, dan coach-athlete realtionship. Selain itu, self-esteem pengaruh kedekatan pelatih juga berbeda jika berdasarkan gender dan usia. Korelasi positif antara self-esteem, satisfaction with life, dan coach-athlete relationship menunjukan beberapa implikasi penting bagi para peneliti di lapangan. Self-esteem yang tinggi dan kepuasan terhadap kehidupan para atlet berhubungan dengan coach-athlete relationship yang lebih baik. Demikian pula, hubungan positif antara pelatih dan atlet berkaitan dengan self-esteem yang tinggi dan satisfaction with life para atlet.
