Preferensi Gaya Kepemimpinan Pelatih terhadap Gender pada Olahraga Individu dan Olahraga Tim
Abstract
Peran dan tanggung jawab pelatih kepada atlet sangat mempengaruhi lingkungan olahraga untuk membantu mereka maju kompetitif, maka dari itu pelatih harus menjadi pemimpin tim yang tepat, memiliki pengetahuan dalam perspektif kepemimpinan sesuai berdasarkan situasi pribadi dan lingkungannya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi perbandingan preferensi kepemimpinan pelatih pada atlet taekwondo dan atlet voli dewasa berdasarkan jenis kelamin, menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Partisipan berjumlah 91 terdiri dari atlet taekwondo dan atlet voli kota Bandung. Pengambilan sampelnya menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah kuesioner Leadership Sport Scale (LSS) untuk mengukur preferensi kepemimpinan pelatih pada atlet. Analisis data dilakukan dengan melakukan uji Manova. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat berbedaan preferensi kepemimpinan pelatih pada atltet baik dari cabor (sig 0,00<0,05) dan jenis kelamin atlet (sig 0,00<0,05). Jenis Kelamin laki-laki dengan cabang olahraga Voli cenderung menyukai perilaku pelatih demokratis dan social support (4,19±0,217 & 4,01±0,344), sedangkan laki-laki dengan cabang olahraga taekwondo lebih menyukai pelatihan dan intruksi, perilaku demokratif dan positif feedback (4,26±0,263; 4,09±0,299; & 4,14±0,259). Lalu, pada jenis kelamin Perempuan dengan cabang olahraga voli lebih menyukai pelatihan dan instruksi dan social support (4,13±0,207 & 4,15±0,295), dan Perempuan cabang olahraga taekwondo lebih menyukai pelatihan dan instruksi dan positif feedback (4,32±0,303 & 4,43±0,501). Peneliti merekomendasikan penelitian lebih lanjut mengenai preferensi kepemimpinan pelatih pada atlet dengan menambahkan variabel baru seperti menggunakan atlet internasional, usia pelatih, lokasi pembinaan dan sifat aktual atlet, dapat mendapatkan hasil yang berbeda di penelitian selanjutnya.
