Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh latihan High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) terhadap peningkatan VO₂max pada atlet bulutangkis mahasiswa Universitas Insan Budi Utomo. Penelitian menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan rancangan one-group pretest-posttest design. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 20 atlet bulutangkis putra yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan Multistage Fitness Test (bleep test) untuk mengukur kapasitas aerobik maksimal (VO₂max). Program HIIT dilaksanakan selama 6 minggu dengan frekuensi latihan tiga kali per minggu. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji normalitas Shapiro-Wilk, uji homogenitas Levene, dan uji hipotesis paired sample t-test dengan bantuan IBM SPSS Statistics 26. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan rata-rata VO₂max dari 38,05 mL/kg/min pada pretest menjadi 42,62 mL/kg/min pada posttest, yang mengindikasikan terjadinya peningkatan kapasitas fisik sebesar 12,01%. Hasil uji paired sample t-test menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (p<0,05), yang membuktikan bahwa latihan HIIT memberikan pengaruh positif yang signifikan secara statistik dan praktis terhadap peningkatan daya tahan aerobik atlet bulutangkis mahasiswa. Dengan demikian, HIIT terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kapasitas aerobik dan dapat dijadikan alternatif program latihan untuk menunjang performa atlet bulutangkis mahasiswa.
